welcome home

It’s a given that welcoming our clients into their NEW home is our favorite part of the home remodeling process. Seeing their reactions and soaking every detail in is a moment we wish could live forever.

Our clients at the #UptonUpdate came to us concerning a dated home With plans to expand their family, they knew it was time to give their home a major refresh. The overall layout of their home felt like a Tetris game – narrow hallways and sectioned-off rooms limiting their amount of space. As lovers of hosting friends and family for game nights and overnight stays, they were looking to maximize their square footage and introduce more bedrooms to their home.

Check out their new spaces below:

Before & After of the #UptonUpdate Exterior

As a city home, we didn’t have the option to extend horizontally, so we blew the roof off (literally) and brought the home upward. This decision completely opened up the second level of their home and made their home feel much more spacious. With taller ceilings, we were able to incorporate more windows and bring in such much-needed natural light.

Our clients love to entertain, so creating a warm and inviting kitchen and bar space for them to enjoy was a must. Can we talk about that counter space? To eliminate the sanctioned off spaces in their original footprint, we kept the countertop space against the walls to allow for open-concept living. We carried this gorgeous navy paint color throughout the home to create balance, and we love how it added a pop of color to various spaces.

Without a doubt, the primary bathroom is my personal favorite space from this remodel. Between the striking navy-colored cabinets and tile, matte black hardware, and wood-accented mirrors, I’m having a hard time choosing a favorite feature from this bath. This space is truly immaculate and a destination for relaxation!
